Time is running out to take advantage of the 25C federal tax credit program where you can receive up to $500 back in tax credits. If you wait too long, you may miss out on the savings. You only have until December 31, 2013 to purchase and have an energy efficient HVAC system installed in your home. Now is the time to act because as the deadline draws closer, homeowners will be rushing to upgrade the systems in their homes.

Upgrade Your Air Conditioner

We still have several months of warm weather heading our way. On an average, the cost to cool a home represents about 50 percent of most homeowner’s electric costs. By choosing to have an AC upgrade now, you can take advantage of additional savings on your home’s electric bill. Today’s Energy Star rated air conditioning systems are up to 30 percent more energy efficient that those manufactured just a decade ago.

You have several options to choose from when upgrading your home’s air conditioning system. Provided your air conditioner purchase meets the requirements for the federal tax credit, you will be eligible for a $300 tax credit when you file your 2013 federal return.

These requirements include:

  • Split systems must have at least a 16 SEER or higher and an EER of 13 or higher
  • Package systems must have at least a 14 SEER or higher and an EER of 12 or higher

Replace That Aging Furnace or Boiler Now

If your furnace has become unreliable or is more than 10 years old, now is the time to upgrade and take advantage of the tax credits before they are gone. You can receive a credit of $150 for qualifying natural gas, oil or propane furnaces that have an AFUE of 95 or higher.

A tax credit is available for homes that use a boiler for heating. A replacement gas, oil or propane hot water boiler with an AFUE of 95 or higher is also eligible for a $150 tax credit.

We offer special savings through manufacturer rebates and low interest financing for qualified buyers. Adding all of these savings and your federal tax credit to the savings you will see on your energy bills will allow your energy efficient HVAC system to quickly pay for itself in no time.
